NeighborComp

Privacy policy

A plain-English explanation of the information we collect and why.

Property lookups

When you search a property, we look it up in public Texas appraisal district records. We keep a temporary copy of results for up to 24 hours to keep the site fast. Searches are not linked to your name.

Protest cases

When you start a case in our filing portal, we store the name, email, property, and protest details you provide so we can give you a case number and send status updates.

Email updates

Joining tax-update emails is a separate, optional choice. Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe.

Orders and payment

When you buy a kit, Stripe processes your payment. We receive your name, email, the property, and the order amount. We never see or store your full card number.

Refund requests

If you request a refund, we store your email, order number, message, and the decision you upload, in private storage only our staff can open.

Sharing

We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers that run the site, take payments, and send email, and when the law requires it.

External sites

Links to appraisal districts and the Texas Comptroller lead to websites we do not operate. Their privacy practices apply there.
