Please read these terms before using HomesteadProtest.
About this service
HomesteadProtest provides general educational information, a protest filing and tracking portal, and do-it-yourself protest kits for Texas residential property owners, built from public appraisal district records. We do not act as your attorney or property tax agent, and you are responsible for deciding whether and when to protest.
Kits and payment
Paid kits are charged once through Stripe's secure checkout. No account is needed. After payment you can download your kit from your kit page, and we email you the link.
Refund promise
If your protest doesn't lower your appraised value, submit a request on our Request a Refund page within 12 months of purchase, with your order number, checkout email, and your appraisal district or ARB decision. We review requests by hand and refund to the original payment method.
Your responsibility
You must verify property information, evidence, protest deadlines, filing requirements, and any final decision with your appraisal district. We cannot promise a reduction in appraised value or taxes.
